Care & Maintenance
Due to the handmade and natural fiber of J'Jute every basket is prone to some shedding, fraying, and color variation. The Jute Baskets will Never stand up 100% perfectly due to the soft nature of the Jute Fiber. Each piece will vary slightly. If you would like to have the baskets stand up we recommend filing them. However, the Jute Fiber is soft and the baskets will most likely slouch slightly. This is the beauty of handmade and not machine mass market.
For small marks, we recommend spot cleaning with a gentle & mild soap. Do not oversaturate the basket as jute is not water repellent and excess water can damage the basket fibers and the strength of the entire piece.
For shedding, we recommend vacuuming the inside of the basket.
If there is any fraying it is at the customer's discretion if they choose to trim the loose fibers. Please, use care as trimming too much can weaken the overall structure of the basket.
