MI COCINA
BLACK CANVAS WITH BLACK LEATHER PREMIUM APRON
Go monochrome in this sleek apron originally designed for the Robert Mapplethorpe exhibit for The Guggenheim Museum Store. Updated and re-released in strong black canvas accented with black Latigo leather. Adjustable leather neck strap and waist ties allow this apron to fit every body. Made in California.
Mi Cocina was born out of necessity. In 2014, after over 25 years of designing for brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Diane von Furstenberg, Nike, Coach, and then finally his label called Ubi-Ind Denim, Ulrich "Ubi" Simpson had his AHHA moment in the kitchen. Sleepily cooking early morning breakfasts for his young family--and occasionally burning himself--Ubi thought, everyone's cooking and none of the products are functional. It was then that he saw an opportunity in the market for durable, modern-looking kitchen products that are made for everyday use. The Mi Cocina collection is made from denim that is washed, sewn, and laser etched to create a simple, modern aesthetic with no nonsense function and timeless appeal.
